Harpies, I suspect, are better ignored. Let them harp in private; they are happier that way. Even when they lurk the thread secretly to seek whom they might revile next.

Since Jim has staked out the territory around you and is defending it with all the vigor the task deserves, I shall have to place myself at the disposal of the admiring horde. But listen for the tap on the back window, while the dominant males duel on the front yard. Unless the horde has worn me out first, which at the current level of horde presence does not appear to be likely.
