Analysts keeping a lid on this stock price - it was downgraded by 3 analysts within the last month on valuation. I might add, analysts who downgrade based on valuation are almost always WRONG. We will see - no need to buy more for now.

>>>I would guess that CKFR's EBPP deals with the banks are exclusive in that the bank will only offer its customers the ability to conduct online banking [Bill Pay] through CKFR.

Yes. If you are talking about the current "bill pay / pay anyone" systems in banks, I believe for the most part are exclusive 3-5 year contracts.

>>>>Also, I suspect that these deals are not exclusive for the receipt of electronic payments, so that CKFR's customer bank can receive payment from a Transpoint payor without utilizing CKFR.

Today a bank can receive a payment from anyone, be it by ACH, paper check, cash, EDI, etc...of course Transpoint isn't up and running so they aren't sending payments to anyone yet.

>>>I am guessing that there are likely to be parallel EBPP systems that are employed by virtually all of the banks for receipt of payments, and the success of any one system shall depend on the amount of banks that choose that particular system for its customers' online banking needs.

Nope. If a bill is presented electronically, the payment is still handled pretty much the way it is today (although it more likely that the transaction will be electronic). Remember CheckFree can pay anyone, a Bank, a Utility, or your Uncle Lou. With EBPP the Bill will be presented electronically, and CheckFree will most likely have an electronic conection to the biller, but this does not require the banks to Choose a "particular system". The only time a bank will need to choose a "particular system" is if they are the biller themselves (credit card, mortgage, etc.)

>>>Is it similar to receiving a payment, in that I may receive a bill from a system other than CKFR, but pay it only through CKFR if that's what my bank uses for online banking?

From a customer care prospective banks will most likely choose one bill consolidator (CheckFree or TransPoint).

Barriers to entry, try asking Intuit, who tried and failed before selling out to CheckFree, or Visa who lost 80 million before selling out to CheckFree. When CitiBank joined Transpoint, it basically killed them, no major bank is going to outsource to a competitor.
