Berney, I responded to a couple of posts on the "best and worst brokers" on SI with my take on Datek. I said that it is not the best and not the worst but it fits my needs presently. Some of the comments I got back were indicative of some folks wanting to execute a trade in the first 30 minutes after market opening in a 5 or 10 second window on a volatile $5 stock.

What this points out to me is that there are so many different requirement of so many different folks that we will never find the "perfect" broker. However, it is clear to me that Waterhouse and Jack White don't even meet the lowest of standards as is indicated in the web site Gonzo just cited and by yours and my experiences of being put in a financial penalty box for doing something they (the brokers)don't like. It is beyond me why a broker wouldn't allow multiple trades out of the same pot of money in the same day. If anyone out there can shed some light on this I would really like to know what the rationale is.
