Hi Richard - The error was in the data I posted. I posted the Jan 15 data from our source of shorts. I used the exchange filter that came with the data to pick out the ASE data, but it missed EV. It should have reported that they were shorted by 500 on Jan - unchanged from December 31. Our site shows the following info: symbol date of report change balance #shorts/daily volume EV 1999-01-30 500 1,000 0.039 EV 1999-01-15 0 500 0.016 EV 1998-12-31 500 500 0.098 David
