RE: "BTW I do not disagree with his assessment that US equities
could decline by 30 to 50% nor with his assertions that
the Fed may not react immediately with an additional easing."

It's been a while since we experienced a 30% correction in the major indices; we probably are overdue.

The Fed can't possibly ease with the GDP growth at 5% and unemployment at 4%.

Best wishes,

I2

G'day all - Defrocked clarified, "The American Enterprise Institute is a respectable conservatively-oriented "think tank" in DC." I may cause some ire here, but I tend to agree with Defrocked that AEI is a reputable outfit, and, unlike the Stratfor, which seems to have a loyal following here and elsewhere on SI, the writers pen their name with their analysis <g>.

I may not agree with many things coming out of AEI [not that I read its output regularly,] it seems to broaden itself a bit [I don't think people like Norm Ornstein is that conservative.] Well, maybe relatively speaking. Probably it is downright radical in the eyes of Hoover Institute [well, I will be skinned alive if there is any Stanford folks in our midst <vbg>!]
