messages.yahoo.com @m2.yahoo.com TAVA Earnings Up Over 70%, $0.25 per Share!!! by: tavalong 9761 of 9764 February 8, 1999 9:15AM EST TAVA TECH (TAVA) Earnings Report - TAVA Earnings Increase 70% Over Last Quarter Flurry of recent Y2K related contracts drive TAVA revenues past $32 Million and Net Income over $5.3 Million. Earnings per Share were reported at $0.24. Revenues were up 65% over the previous quarter. Earnings increased by 60% over the 3 month period. Management expects the current backlog of work to continue far into the year 2000. TAVA generated earnings of $0.24 per share, $0.10 over the last quarter earnings. Nearly 75% of revenues could be attributed to Y2K activities. Analysts view the earnings in line with expectations, yet indicated that this is strong evidence of a company rebounding off recent lows. Y2K stock analyst Hugh Thomas..."TAVA appears to be successfully reversing an otherwise doubtful trend. I would not be surprised to see TAVA in the mid-teens by year's end, and possibly higher. There just seems to be more and more work for these types of companies every day." TAVA achieved significant earnings growth despite a proportionate increase in general overhead, capital investement and a significant increase in manpower. TAVA is expected to increase full-time employment to nearly 700 by January 2000. Recent acquisitions and hirings report employment at about 500. Other analysts remained somewhat cautious on the news. "This stock has been begging for an up-trend, and these earnings will probably drive a nice rally. It will remain to be proven, however, whether or not TAVA is creating a basis for work after the millenium worries have subsided." TAVA closed at $7.75 on average volume yesterday. Investor Relations at TAVA will be holding a public conference call immediately following the market close on Tuesday via VCALL.COM. TAVA, a control systems integrator, provides software applications, system design and configuration in the manufacturing process control industry.
