I take no credit for the following piece of information I missed in the announcement. It was pointed out to me by a kindly friend. The $12.9 Million award is irrespective of punitive damages. The judge in this case can asign 1X to 3X jury awards as damages. Since the jury language was rather stern, perhaps we could see some more $ down the road. GDT will appeal, but their court room success to date has been crummy. February 8, 1999 plus 60 (at the outside) days to find out about the injunction. That puts us potentially at the 3rd quarter earnings announcement. An injunction is the gravy train. Stay Tuned.
