I meant highend on the desktop. There still isn't but the PIII will address any that does appear once AMD actually ships a desktop product. In the transaction processing market Intel is continuing to expand their market share and will be introducing new Xeon processors shortly.

I think Intel is pinning their high-end hopes on Merced and McKinley. I know, it's a little further out than most of us feel comfortable with, but this is the IA-64 future that Intel has planned, first with Merced, then with McKinley, then with Madison and Deerfield.
