Uncle Frank,

Not meant as investment advice, but one thing that I have learned after losing a lot of money (albeit mostly paper gains) in options is to never press the bet too hard. 400% sounds excellent to me. And then there are 3 more earnings coming up this year (though I usually avoid the Nov one). Besides that, in general my personal philosophy is to get rid of short-term options the moment they start to control too much of my life.

I'm sitting at the blackjack table, and just got dealt an ace of hearts (dlqbq Feb. 85 calls) and a jack of spades (dlqbr Feb. 90 calls). But the dealer has an ace (Tom Kurlak) showing, and I've only got 10 seconds (2/19 expiry) to figure out whether to take insurance and settle for even money (+400%) or go for the gusto (2/16 earnings report).

What to do, what to do.

Frank
