If the company is in such damn good financial condition, why don't they step in there today and buy back about 2-3 Million shares in the market place at these prices.?

That would certainly go a long ways towards increasing shareholder value and would certainly go to show that the company has some confidence in itself.

Just how was your trust betrayed?

You invested. The stock tanked for a myriad of reasons.

If you sold for less than you paid, why is that ABTX fault?

If you didn't sell, it seems to me the wise course would be to minimize participating in actions with the potential for a miniscule return and potentially damaging legal hassles for the company.
