I think the american people are basicly good it is our leaders who do evil. When compared to past aggressors the Germans, English, Japanese the US has been relatively restrained in flexing its muscle -yes we could do better. Yes we are arrogant but the world should never forget that we saved the world from Nazi Germany and Japanese Imperialism - two truly evil empires. Yiwu I trust you are familiar with the war atrocities committed by the Japanese against other asians. I feel the less we mess with other countries the better off we all we all will be. Mike

Yiwu,
I don't think that you should "shut up", as we need more people in this country who are unafraid to speak out for what they believe is right or wrong. I know some people who think along similar lines, but are very afraid to say anything, especially on a public bulletin board, for fear of some form of reprisal. I look forward to reading more of your true thoughts in the future.
About the bodies disappearing in the jungles of Vietnam, I presume that this would be because of the animals and insects, correct?
One memory I have of how many people in this country value lives elsewhere, is when the infamous explosion occurred at the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal, India around 1986 or so. The very small amount of money awarded to those poor suffering people was just adding insult to injury, and I was outraged.
Someday, folks in this country will learn to be more humble, but until then, it's arrogance and "we know what is best for you" all the way! Yogi
