Technical analysis for market as a whole does not reveal a pretty picture. Internet stock correction is impacting the entire tech sector, and this time there is not going to be a quick reversal to the upside, despite the hopes of many on the YHOO, AOL boards. This is likely to have the unfortunate effect of pressuring the satcoms, but, "out of adversity comes opportunity" - anyone with cash at the bottom is going to do quite well. And, I suspect, some "hot" money will exit the 'nets and look for sex appeal elsewhere; once things cool down a little, that may produce some short-term excitement in this group. For the longer term, however,Iridium still has to deliver subscriber numbers, and Globalstar still has to put up the infrastructure in order to begin to sign up subscribers, which means quite a few more successful launches. In the meantime, the market is going to look for stocks that are delivering predictable earnings until this correction ends. We may have to adopt a philosophical attitude for a while...
