billwot,

Even better. I finally liquidated the rest of the mutual funds in our IRAs (when DOW was around 9500) and am now bargain hunting with the proceeds.

That's an ace move. Unfortunately for me most of my investments have taken place outside of my IRA, where I figured that the best thing was to leave it in a safe place. As a result, my IRA is less than 1/10 of my total portfolio. I've been considering the same thing, but you got the timing exactly right.

BTW-with your logon name, you might be interest in knowing that I met met a family today with the mother,Rhapsody, and three daughters Lyrica, Melody, and Harmony.

The only tragedy would be if they were all tone-deaf. Those are lovely names for girls, IMO.

billwot,

After a day like this, you might want to keep your powder dry a bit longer. This was a miserable performance on what could have been a very good day with the Goldman Sachs conference and all. All that good news wasted!

Focus on the long-term goals. I think that's the key.
