RE: "Why is Intel DOWN $15 per share in the past few weeks. It was $143. Intel is supposed to be a blue chip stock for pension funds and little old ladies. Intel management declared the price war that has cost the stock 10%. Is this on All cylinders?"

RDM, the entire Nasdaq is down over the last few weeks. This is normal profit taking after an incredible runup over the last few months. As for a price war, Intel says there isn't war and it was AMD management who insisted on undercutting Intel's prices. Intel is making money on these low cost chips even at these adjusted prices. If AMD can't compete there is no reason why the consumer should suffer to keep a poorly run company afloat. Perhaps investors should start thinking about AMD's breakup value and adjusting their strategys accordingly.

RDM, traders/funds are taking profits from Intel and using the so-called "price war" with AMD as an excuse. Intel price cuts already factored in to guidance, so nothing new here. Learn how to play the game....you'll make mucho money in Intel (both as an LT investment and a trade). For LT, Intel under $150 is a steal, imo.
