Imagine if that applied to toll calls too. I phone you from NZ to accuse you of supporting VW40 and you have to pay to hear my complaint. Sure the first minute is free, but say it's Aunt Freda who you can't stand but you love your Mum and don't want to upset her, so you can't just push 'END'. You have to stand their listening for 10 minutes while thinking how much it's costing you. Best to not have a cellphone or leave it turned off. No wonder the USA is way behind on cellphone useage. Ericy thinks it might take half a year to come to an arrangement? That's because they don't want to. They want GSM to be the main technology until they simply have absolutely no choice but to change. Vodafone is going to have to actually lean more heavily if Sam Ginn wants results. The USA, like Europe and New Zealand can sure come up with some weird ideas. Meanwhile, High Data Rate [HDR] and cdma2000 can just carry on rolling out and Q! can keep raising the royalty rate required for Ericy to sign up. Sam Ginn has been central for some time. So now the government is wanting to make it legal for spooks to be REAL spooks like on the movies. Talk about a joke! Sillier and more incompetent than some official French Terrorist Bombers who the SIS failed to catch. The British spooks and CIA failed to spot them too.
