<Without K6x, the revenues of Non-CPG group have long landed AMD into extinction!>

It's debatable. Some argue that AMD shifted attention away from their non-CPG businesses in order to focus on the K6 and K7.

<K6x saved AMD! That's the single most important legacy of K6x and most important business competitiveness K6x have achieved! >

I agree with you. AMDs direction is their best opportunity considering their resources and market position. They have a good chance to be the Avis or Ford (#2) of the PC chip business. They may be the only contender for some time.

I believe that there are two possible routes:

A. 70,000,000 $40 chips per year (economy)
B. 30,000,000 $110 chips per year (value)

Neither is route is easy. Both will take time.
