Mad,

TI is still working with the Evaluation Module boards? I don't see Pairgain using EVM modules. Maybe MOT and TI can get their EVM boards to interoperate, that should help the industry. The market is still waiting for these chips. EVM really stands for Evaporating Vendor Market.... Who will Ericsson use? Westell will use Alcatel.

...Interoperability testing took place during the first quarter and included successful full rate ADSL and G.lite configurations. PairGain's Avidia(TM) System central office (CO) solution demonstrated interoperability with TI's TNETD3000P customer premise (CPE) evaluation module (EVM) , while PairGain's Megabit Modems® demonstrated compatibility with TI's TNETD3000C CO EVM ....

MB, I see bill got to your post & I have little to add. Id guess that Ti fell into the same trap as Mot. The one chip dream does seem a bit much looking back on things now. It will probably happen some day though but who knows when. Ive haven't read anything other than board chat that would indicate a change in the relationship. Ti will sell to anybody who wants it & have cut pricing deals w/ some of the bigger players in the past but its obvious that Wstl will use others as well. I thought Ti & Ala had in interop as well which brings to thought why BA would be specifying which chips in their region. I can't see why Wstl would let BA determine a chip vendor other than the lack of a better solution but we both know how that goes.

Looking @ this chart Im starting to see your point. Ive watched more than a few powerful bullish formations over that last weeks only to see each fail to give confirmation & I won't even comment on todays.

Keep up the good work,

Dug

P.S.

Ive had an account w/ E&Trade for a couple weeks now as well but haven't placed any trades yet. Their tech people seem pretty sharp from what Ive read. Not real impressed with what Ive read about them in the last week but will let you know how it goes. Ive also read mention that three accounts @ different places might be a better way & Id have to agree. Sand in my eyes & need some rest so Ill catch you folks later.
