IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Wordcraft Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin
Board: WORC) announced that it has received from the original developer, San Diego
Data Processing Corporation (SDP), as part of its Purchase/Distribution Agreement, the
enhanced "Source Code" for its powerful, proprietary SWIM/TRIM Software.

SWIM/TRIM, acronyms for Sewer Water Infrastructure Management and Tool Room
Inventory Management, are work order management and inventory control software
products designed to allow water, wastewater and reclaimed water utilities to
computerize their data. The software has been operating successfully for over 2 years,
both in the field and administration offices, at the City of San Diego, Water Utilities
Division. It has been broadly designed and will be modified for the Gas and Electric
Utilities and Parks and Recreation Departments as well. The design and development of
the SWIM/TRIM software products have been a multi-million dollar undertaking that
was funded by the City of San Diego for its Water and Wastewater departments.

SWIM/TRIM is a Microsoft Windows-based client/server application using Oracle,
PowerBuilder and Visual Basic and running also on portable pen based computers
(MicroSlate).

According to the American Water Works Association, there are in excess of 50,000
Water Utilities in the United States alone. It is estimated that the combined software
market of Water, Gas and Electric utilities is in excess of $1.0 billion.

The company now intends to market SWIM/TRIM worldwide and has received an
initial inquiry from a major software and electronics distributor in France.

The company plans to attend over 30 national and regional business trade shows and
conferences in 1999 to market and distribute its software products effectively. The first
trade show to be attended is scheduled for February 22-24 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
