Ed, Please read my post again. I didn't say that longs Always say good things about the company and Never say bad things. I said that longs say mostly good things. If you aren't going to say mostly good things, why are you invested in the company? I don't consider bad things to be about nonreporting and other such issues. I meant bad things such as "management is crap", "this company sucks", "sell now", etc. My point is that it is fairly obvious to see who is long, and who is short, and that we don't really need to spell it out. I think you just misinterpreted my meanings of "good" and "bad". I of course think it's healthy to know the everything about a company - both the plusses and minuses. You just need to think about what type of person those statements are coming from....
