judy, i m buying. even bot amat today/bot aol. looking to add to nvls. staying away from MU ...(too scared) don't want to figure it out. i have a huge list of things to buy. and helping a beginner get into the market. i love it what Pisanni screams...no buyers ? great. i have no competition. i m never in cash. i only trade 10% of portfolio.. mostly always intvested in my long term. i would like naz to land on 2200 but too many bulls in the mrkt.

I don't want to write a novel but my reasons are both financially sound and personal vendeta. My AF unit was fat dumb and happy in South Dakota (actually we were very cold <g>) but were forced to relocate here despite our warnings, the Air Force's warnings etc that we were not ready to relocate here near Boise due to lack of parts, parking ramp space for our planes, engine facilities, hangars etc you name it. We were told we were moving and it didn't matter if we could fly our planes or not as the move was mandated for "political reasons". Those reasons turned out to be that MU was getting ready for a huge ramping up of production for a serious DRAM shortage and needed workers that our spouses would provide since we in the military are under paid and most spouses work also. Then Senator Kempthorne made it a campaign program to get MU it's workers so it happened (he is now governor so I guess it worked) Therefore we moved out here 2 years ago, have had lousy war readiness until recently just so we could arrive in time for the huge DRAM shortage that turned out to be a DRAM over supply as MU laid off hundreds and you know how DRAM has been the last two years. We also arrived just in time to see the MU CEO fired for telling the truth that the outlook was bleak and that the false comments to the press being made by J.R. Simplot (owns the majority of Boise and MU) were not being made by the company or on behalf of the company. They quickly hired a new CEO that would go along with the lies. Every earnings report MU makes is full of smoke and mirrors and during the recent run up while they were saying everything was great and the future was bright, I have heard first from my main contact inside MU that business was slowing to a non existant crawl and now today I talked to several spouses from the base that work there and they too said that they aren't doing anything except taking long breaks and going home early. Meanwhile, the big analysts are telling everyone that they should be buying a stock that has doubled due to a one time X-mas spurt that happens every year so they can dump at the high and leave the small guy holding the bag. This company loses more money during it's 3 bad quarters than it earns during it's one good one every year yet J6P falls for it every year. DRAM also has one good year for each 2 bad ones. EArnings next quarter are projected to be one penny, Ooooohhh. That more than makes up for the over a dollar loss last year. I suspect they will lose even more in following years. I love MU. It makes people more money on the drops than DELL made people going up. I hope they can continue this scam forever. I just wish they would ring a bell so I wouldn't be late getting in each time. <ggg> This by no means is aimed at you but I saw you post the comment and thought I would say why we short it and not just for the reasons posted on the MU thread meant to stir up the bulls. Good Luck, Lee PS- My 610 OEX, 1225 SPX and 9100 DOW targets have been met. Now all I need is to re-compute those targets and wait for my 2200 NASDAQ target to get hit so I can switch back from the dark side and go long again. I don't feel this downturn is over yet although I think a small bounce should come later this week or next week at the latest. At first look, DOW 9025 and SPX 1185 may be next but NASDAQ took too long and target has raised about 50 points due to upward sloping trendline. I need to look at a few more things though before I am more confident in targets. ANy immediate bounce from here could form a nice H&S so we may be better off just going sideways although I doubt it will happen that way. PSS - Another thing about being stationed here. MU is our only choice for ISP connection and it is as lousy as the lies they tell about DRAM. Every night at this time, my service slows to a crawl before I am booted off and can't get back on until almost 10:00. Of course maybe they know I short them all the time and they just do it to me. <VBG>
