I am sorry and stand corrected. Yes, I know that. Somone asked for background and in my haste I typed in the wrong url--worldgate instead of wgate--to get corporate background. My apologies.

Corporate Information

WorldGateSM Communications, Inc, was founded in 1995 by former General Instrument employees. It is a
privately held company headquartered in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.

WorldGateSM Communications, Inc. provides a cable service that enables low cost Internet access for consumers
through the cable system, without the need for a PC, modem, or any additional in-home equipment. The company
has announced both domestic and international Internet service test agreements with companies representing over
35 million basic cable households.

At a suggested retail monthly fee of $4.95, the revolutionary WorldGateSM service (patents applied for) is the
cable industry's first interactive Internet service which uses an advanced analog or digital cable converter, the
existing TV set and a remote control. No PC or other set-top box is required, nor is there any use of the cable
company's video spectrum. Using the vertical blanking interval, a normally unused portion of the video
spectrum, the existing cable infrastructure will allow WorldGateSM to offer data rate speeds of 128,000 bits per
second, over 4 times faster than a standard telephone modem. Additionally, WorldGateSM has pioneered Channel
HyperLinkingSM (patents applied for), the ability of subscribers with a single keystroke, to connect directly to a
Web site associated with a TV show or commercial announcement. Logging on to the service, for E-mail, Web
browsing or Channel HyperLinkingSM, requires less than five seconds.

I recognize some of the names over here, looks like a bunch of backdoor internet IPO players to me. Here's how I think WCAP compares to the rest:
