I am not the type of person that loses patience. I have remained patient through hell before. Today I got through to etrade and a supervisor named Scott told me that etrade is not responsible for any of the problems. He said if I did not like it why don't I just take my account and trades elsewhere. That was after I asked him what he would do. He was not concerned in the least. I am tired of the crap and the irresponsible way they handle the situation. I agree with your estimation of what will happen but I would like to add to this. I predict that the y2k problem will exaserbate this problem and make it look like a Sunday problem. I have become way to dependant upon the functioning of the internet and telephone for my daily living. It is time to develop backup plans and change investment style and content.

By the way. I am done bitching about it. I will help anyone with any info. that I have but will not complain again. I hate whining and know that I have done too much of it about something I cannot change.

FYI....they did put an apology letter on the website. I read it last night. It was on the main home page right after you log on. I don't see it there now and not sure where it went. Would have been more effective and noticed if they actually put it in your alert box or emailed it to us.
