I read it and poked around and bookmarked the site. Indeed they were not going to win, but they held out pretty well for being so outmatched (not to mention that they were rather unpopular in most of the eastern hemisphere). If they had taken out the tank farms, they would have had even less resistance than they did the first year, and I think a case could be made that the U.S. would have been less roused by a newsreel of burning fuel oil than a burning Battleship Row. Oh, well. Now to think about conquering the market....
