Indeed, the Starr investigation's principal result may well be to persuade the nation to shun such heavyhanded uses of official power in the future. I believe this will be shown to be the motive for the vast right wing conspiracy. While I think the P.Jones antics are the result of kind of a right wing fringe group, Helms, and Starr, and the three judge panel conspired to use the special prosecutor law to highlight the drawbacks to heavyhanded uses of official power.
