Bill H., Sorry, I can't give advice on whether one should buy, sell or hold. I'm just your typical investor who is trying to make some money in the market. Having said this, I will share some general thoughts.

I believe we are seeing a correction in the markets that will cause a drop of between 10 and 15%. Although, I won't be surprise to see a little overshoot with the drop going to around 20%. MM's are taking profits after this years great run-up. Are we going into a bear market? I don't think so. Look at the great news that was released today by the government...the news dealt with lack of inflation, and productivity. Plus, I believe there's a lot of money on the sidelines just waiting for the opportunity to enter the markets.

IMO, this is a buying opportunity. However, if one were to buy at this time, it doesn't mean that their new investments won't drop from where it was bought. I for one can't time the markets with exact buy and sell points. However, having said all this, today I bought CSCO. It has corrected around 16%, or more. (I need to calculate the numbers based on todays close.) If I hold CSCO for the "long" term, I think it will prove to be a profitable investment.

Dell is confronted with two elements that are, or can, affect the stock's price. The first element is the market's correction and the beating that the tech's are taking. The second, is how will the earning's report will affect the stock. Last quarter, Dell reported a penny over the estimate. Outlook for the company was good. However, the stock still sold-off. But, it recovered and went on to make a new 52 week high. So, what will happen next Tuesday? I for one sure don't know...however, anyone who is long the stock had better be prepared for some volatility in the stock's price. As I said in another posting, if the stock doesn't split, I think that MM's will sell-off. JMO.

In any event, these are my thoughts on what is going on. Let me know what you decide to do.
