In defense of ETrade, I placed a limit/buy order in at 38 this afternoon and etrade filled it at 37 1/8. It could be worse, they could also be thieves. I gave them every opportunity.

I wouldn't put too much stock in what some cocky MBA straight out of college says. How would you like to have your big dream of being a stockbroker with the formost online trading company in the world go into the crapper as you find out they only hired you to stuff you down in customer service hell, forever?

FWIW: The money E*Trade makes on commissions PALES in comparison to the money they make of your assets. If you just stop trading with them, it will hardly make a difference.

HOWEVER, if you pull your money out (and go with another broker), that's how they get the message. Then, of course, the OTHER broker will be making money off your assets...but if he's responsive, then it's worth it (IMO)
