A more pertinent question is how is the total sales mix going to evolve -- more sales growth expected in the high end or low end?

We will see high end sales and high end profits growing at least as rapidly as sub $1K. Remember, the war is at sub $1K--not the overall consumer market. INTC still has that market cornered.

Do you think AMD is going to drop out soon or that INTC has lowered prices enough to crush AMD?

Yes. Between performance gaps, production capabilities, new products, and margins, it is over for AMD as an INTC competitor. Their lenders will not throw more money at a losing enterprise. Their ability to raise capital is all but ended.
