it works for me....has given me consistent triple digit returns in up or down markets...the beautiful thing about it is if you must roll out on a put due to downward movement you end up taking in more money, and get a tax loss...america is great, get paid to take a tax loss...i try to preach this strategy but most think it risky...no more risky than taking a long position in the common....perhaps it is too basic of a strategy that only requires simple math to understand...
