of course my friend, i know the inevitable, that the stock will be called away....and in my simplistic example, i've achieved a 20% per annum return on my 300 shares and still hold 100 shares with a cost basis of 0, and already spent the other money on chocolate....and hopefully in the case of dell, my 100 shares will split perhaps once in a two year period...if the strategy doesn't work, don't tell me for it's been very good to me for a few years...
