If you look at a day chart, you can see that Vivus held nicely at a bid of 2.5 until the last 10 minutes of trading when I believe some computer generated sell programs kicked in across the board.

The part that pisses me off the most is the way Vivus doesn't participate much on a strong up day but seems to always get whittled down on a bad day. IMO just another technique that the short sellers have taken advantage of on a consistent basis.

The stock's price trades as if the company was on the verge of Chapter 11. I thought that January's conference call clearly demonstrated that Vivus was not in dire straights and if they were, they could certainly have accepted a less favorable offer from one of the big pharmas that have been put on the table.
