Matthew,
<<Why should the MM be the only one that gets away with collusion??>>
Dave, I love your question and the thought behind it!!! The reason the MMs are so powerful is that they work together, (WITH OUR MONEY), to control the market...Instead of fighting each other, the shorts and longs should get together and take the play away from these MMs...We have tremendous potential power if we do that....Anthony and TokyoJoe have demonstrated that!! We should invite them to talk...We may have to resort to PMs or something similar...Wall Street knows the online investors/traders are not naive morons...They are grudgingly becoming aware that we affect the market in a way they don't like, and more and more brokers are walking the street looking for employment...On that note, I recommend an article in Forbes magazine's January 25 issue titled "When 5 million on-line traders think they're geniuses" It's a resentful and left handed tribute to the effect we are having on the market, and Wall Street doesn't like it..By the way, I believe the article grossly underestimates the number of online folks out there!!!..If the MMs are going to continue jerking us around (which is a certainty) we need to organize!!!
