El,
Amatuer TA. CPQ touching lower Bollinger Band with RSI at 40.

If the share price is at the lower Bollinger Band but RSI is greater than 30 then the trend will continue.

EL...It's my opinion there has been no technical damage done as long as it holds in here down to 40. There should be some selling tomorrow though just for the reason the 50 moving ave was broken. If 40 breaks, the next stop is the 200 day ave in the mid 30s.

El: Breaking the 50-day MA is not good, but it is a short term indicator only. If this happened to CPQ and the rest of the market was not tanking, it be a much more of a negative indicator. Often, when the 50-day is breached, it can be like a shock treatment and the stock snaps back in a day or two. CPQ is not the only major tech stock in this position right now. Volume on the NASDAQ is down 10% from yesterday which is good, but up a little on the DOW.
