It seems to me that this all started with those online brokerage firms raising substantially their margin req't on internet stocks. This caused any small drop to cause a domino effect. That in combined with the mkt gurus saying it is time for a correction - caused this past week and today.

The fact remains there is no place to put money - th banks give you 3% and people will not settle for that. Retirement accts etc will continue to pour money into stocks seeking higher returns. These are the growth stocks that provide the huge returns. IMHO the money will return to these stocks as Internet stock are now starting to have income and revenue flows. Matter of time, but due to the margin reqt the run ups will not be that spectacular.
