>>IMN's 3% to 5% operating margin, with less than $.06 expected for this quarter (analysts wanted $.10);<<

Oh, really?

dailynews.yahoo.com
Analysts polled by First Call had expected a 2 cent per share loss.

Looks like Imation blew out their earnings to the upside. Analysts expected a ($0.02) loss. Instead, Imation blew them out with a $0.06 profit! Now this is a sign of great management. No wonder IMN stock was soaring these past couple of weeks. Also from the new story:

...In addition, the company has authorization for the repurchase of up to 10 million shares of its common stock.

Does Imation have great Management or what? When was the last time Iomega announced a stock buyback? When was the last time Iomega Corp. voted any kind of confidence in their own stock? When was the last time Iomega displayed any sort of concern for their investors by buying back shares?
