From the look of those + afterhours trades and todays & yesterdays buys, wouldn't you think this puppy would be flying by now? The only explanation I can surmise is, are those who set the stock price factoring in the overall drop in the market or in the sector and also adding up the shorts as a minus - then all that goes in the equation balancing the more buys than sells and the good volume to set the value? Does anyone know what rules decision makers must follow to set share valuations? If these factors are taken into consideration regardless of the stock action then that could be a reason why it's down when to all outward appearances it should be going up. And as Jetta said, if they must short sell when they run too low on shares, what should be a positive would then work as a negative at least til it must be covered, true? Wonder when that would be. Rambling thoughts on the incomprehensibility of it, as This One's
got no choice but to simply be patient (selling at a loss after a hold of less than a week along with good progress/trade action/news isn't a possible choice for my (long) investment strategy).
I hope this is a good dip preceding another nice run-up soon, maybe even a bottlerocket it should. Internets are being smacked for good performance right now, after many announcing earnings for the first time, so of course now those nice results and splits and mergers aren't enough to support the inflated prices or so they're bullhorning on the news. I might just go away from paying attention to it except for once a day to look at the trend til things get better. Better for the nerves.
Good luck to all,
Joana
