jach, Please stop with all the spam you're throwing around. By now everyone on Silicon Investor knows that you're bearish on Cisco. There's no need to keep repeating your opinion over and over. Although I am currently long on Cisco I don't disagree with you that it's current valuation is lofty and that some downside risk exists. But to keep throwing out these mindless predictions hour after hour is ridiculous. No one knows where the market is headed. Hell if we did, none of us would work for a living we'd just play the market. Also you're comparisons of Cisco's market cap vs. other companies has little or no merit. Who cares if Cisco = GM + Ford + Boeing? In my opinion they provide more value, have demonstrated more consistent profitability, are much better managed, and have much more growth potential than those three firms combined. What if I told you that an average dog weighs alot more than 5 average cats? Does that tell you anything? No, and neither do most of your crazy analogies. Here are the facts as I see them: 1) Cisco is a rule breaker/maker 2) Their consistent growth & profitability are nearly unprecedented. 3) Cisco's success has been achieved through hard work and business savvy, and not through luck as you would have people believe. 4) Cisco's management is among the best of any technology company. 5) They are the dominant player in the networking industry. 6) The internet and thus demand for networking equipment will continue to grow rapidly for the next decade at a minimum. 7) Although Lucent/Ascend will win their share of the market, Cisco will still continue to grow as demand will be sufficient enough to support both. 8) Cisco will remain the dominant player in the market despite increased competition. This is just my opinion. And no I am not biased, as I work for Lucent Technologies. 9) Cisco may be expensive now, but as a long term hold it will reward shareholders. Their stock will certainly be significantly more valuable in 3 to 5 years than it is today. I respect your position, but I'm just burned out on hearing you repeat it. If you're so certain about it I challenge you to maintain a short position of 1,000 shares in Cisco for the next 5 years. Best of Luck, JP
