I absolutely believed it was going to 30 and thats why i pulled the box thing ...SKYM lesson...lots of people who were short werent able to get back in wehen it hit 42 to 45 so thats why I called it like that even if you bought at 27 and sold at 25 or 26 and kept your original short you would have done well.In hindsight I would have just shorted all the way up the end result is the same..

But doing that will put you in violation of the uptick short sale rule (selling the long of a box on a downturn to effectively create a short). That is why you pretty much have to have two accounts at different brokerages to pull off effective boxing any more. U.S. brokerages just aren't going to let you carry opposite positions in the same account any more.
