LT,

You have let me down. I was just telling Dalin that you have grown smarter and won't jinx a good thing by bragging in this thread. Now DELL has no way to go but up and I have not yet rolled my LEAPs up. Couldn't you have waited a day more, man!?

Re Did LT predict 30 split or presplit for Feb 1999;

Well, here's one attached where you confidently predicted it would be 40 presplit, ie 20 now. Of course, you have made so many (consistently wrong) predictions that I'm sure you also made a 30 postsplit prediction. As well as ones that 100 would be a top (presplit), that 120(presplit) was a top, that 67 postsplit was a top, etc etc etc..

However, thinking about this whole subject of your predictions (always wrong) about Dell, I have come to believe that you are just, to use a UK phrase 'winding us up', or trolling. The simple fact is, I dont believe anyone could be as stupid as you appear to be by your Dell predictions(consistently wrong). It breaks the bounds of credibilty that anyone could be so stupid that they make totally, 100% wrong predictions for over a year, and yet continue to beleive they are correct. So, perhaps your name should be 'Lucretius Wind-up-itus'.

Regards, Joe

<snip>

If you'll check my posts, I said DELL would be 40 (pre-split) by Jan-Feb of 1999, and have stuck to that. If we don't reach that by then I will be WRONG. Till then it is up in the air.

Lucretius-if you were so bearish re Dell for so long, how can you still be short Dell? Didn't you get market calls which at some point you couldn't meet? Suppose you shorted Dell at many split adjusted 17.
Suppose being very bearish you put in what for you was a major short position. Suppose 10,000 shares. Now, you'd be short 80,000 shares.That is supposing you didn't add to your short position. But if Dell was a short at 17, wouldn't you add to your shorts as it went to 110? But if 10,000 shares was a lot for you (we're assuming you would take a substantial (for you) position as you were so bearish), how could you be able to meet the market calls all the way up to 110?

LT

In the immortal words of President Reagan, "there you go again".

Scaring the uninitiated, just like that idiot McNabb Brothers did back in Oct-Dec 1997. Yes I lump you in with him (them?) and others on the lunatic fringe like the guy with the unpronounceable name who comes on the thread around earning time every quarter and curses.

I lurk on this thread almost everyday, and I can't tell you how many times you have said "you kids were warned..."; too many times to count on both hands. Always, you come out and say this on a pullback. You have NEVER offered up any insightful commentary or analysis for your views.

All I can say to that is: LOOOOOSER!!!
