AMERICA ONLINE INC said its membership now exceeds 16 mln. The
company said it took only five weeks to add its most recent one million
subscribers, its fastest such jump ever. "This record pace of growth underscores
the strong momentum behind AOL and all of our other interactive brands," Bob
Pittman, chief operating officer, said in a statement. "Consumers increasingly are
finding our complete, easy-to-use package of connectivity, community, content,
context and commerce is the best way to go online." In addition, the company said
its Digital City is strengthening its lead as the No. 1 guide and resource to various
cities and communities, in the United States. AOL said the December 1998 Media
Metrix Report said Digital City reached more people than
Citysearch-Ticketmaster and Microsoft's Sidewalk combined. (Reuters 11:16

I guess the ONLY thing I wouldn't do now is get heavily margined, though tempted in this, IMO, silly sell-off.
Best of luck
