Maurice - NTT DoCoMo must be squirming with the huge inroads being made by CDMAOne in Japan. Are they recognizing that ERICY and W-CDMA may be leading them down the garden path to W-CDMAVaporware2000! Does anyone want to predict that DoCoMo sees the light and switches to IS-95 CDMAOne and the smooth transition to HDR. That could well be the catalyst for convergence and the end of the Holy War - wouldn't it be sweet for the Q.

Ira - let me repeat what I already told you. I will gladly publish a "retraction" when there is a credible demonstration of a fully loaded, public CDMA system that is running at 10x-20x AMPS capacity while *simultaneously* providing 2x-5x the coverage of AMPS base stations with fewer dropped calls, superior voice quality, and less expensive handsets than GSM. THIS, along with easier system engineering, is what Qualcomm promised. Are you claiming all of this has been achieved? Where?

Anyone know what these numbers are today?
