My understanding was that they initially obtained bank financing for the plant in Italy, and almost immediately after acquisition, issued the additional shares. I assume that the funds from the share issue would be used to pay down the debt incurred in the acquisition.
I also noticed that analysts (there are apparently two that follow the co. but I don't know what firms they are from) have increased their EPS estimate for the current fiscal year, but only by 2 cents, to .21. I can't imagine this would cause the price to run up from 3 to 6 in a couple of months. You may well be right - it wouldn't be at all unusual to see the price back off a fair bit now - unless of course there is somebody buying up all the shares that come up for sale. I guess only time will tell.
