To all: I talked with Seeq's investor relations yesterday, 2-8. They were not planning any news release or comment about the stock's activity. They will not be at any of the technology conferences this month. Seeq has not in the past released good revenue or earnings announcements before the official earnings release date.
Revenue for this quarter will be greater then last quarter ($5.6 million) but he didn't say (I didn't ask) greater then the same quarter last year($7.6 million). It would be my guess that revenue will be between the two which could still give us a 30% increase.
Bookings can be filled within 1 day to 6 months so all the bookings they had at the first of the quarter may not produce revenue this quarter. The design win they got with Berkeley Systems continues with Fore Systems.
The 3 in 1 chip with Silicon Integrated Systems may be ready for sampling this quarter. This chip will not be in all personal computers, which I was hoping.
Seeq is not going to compete with Broadcom in the area of cable and cable modem chips. Doesn't Seeq need to branch out in other areas in order to grow? I didn't ask if they had any plans to do so.
Tom
