I used to stop in at Ebay to look for music collectibles, and have
bought a few things such as books and magazines. Once, within a
relatively short period of time, I noticed three or four people selling supposed autographs of the late singer Janis Joplin. The minimum bid price was well under what I would have expected compared to other firms specializing in autographs, and the fact that there were several available when existing autographs of this 30-years-dead singer are not very common ... well, not surprisingly, one of the "autographs" did not even have a bid.

Postscript: Just checked Ebay and there are currently three Joplin autographs offered for sale. One has a minimum bid of only $200.
Hard to believe these could all be legit.
