Thomas, What do you think about my reading on semis? " I have been eyeballing some semis longterm charts for a while. Look at amat 2 year chart. (sorry can't link you to iqc this time) I think this time we might get the same situation here. After amat climbed out the slump in '96, it doubled in a few month and then took a pause (in a trading range mood) there for about 2 month (during Feb.~April '97)" I am thinking about the trading range for amat after report will be between high 40s (or low 50s) and its high now. What do you think? Will the chart pattern repeat itself again this time? Or we still have to rely more on fundamentals and the market? Another interesting chart: altr (sorry couldn't link you to iqc) Is this an island reversal pattern? Can you calculate the downside target for this kind of chart? Good short candidate on rebound?
