Hi Tom,

Have to agree,the fundamentals are very overpowering.Just look at AMD and Intel battling it out.Intel earnings could begin to suffer a great deal.This could be the very ugly part of deflation we are about to see.Keeping a close watch on vehicle and home sales as I think they may be key.So many charts saying the same thing and so many analysts picking a bottom on commodities now.Have not heard anyone not talk of Japan having clearly made a bottom.I believe low interest rates have masked a great deal in the US.Feeling good about ones job and going into debt seems to be the norm.Who knows,maybe the US will be spared all.Here in Montreal,prices on many things do not even gyrate much any more,they just stay low,even with our loony below .70cents.Looks like the resting period is over and a new leg to the downside might be on its way.

Paul

>>the 38 weeks xau cycle peak has now been reached. mgl.ca;

I find this chart pretty baffling - these supposed cycles hardly seem to correlate AT ALL with the actual price movement - especially the larger cycles on top.

I think you could draw any length cycles on this chart and not have it look any more reliable.
