The eclipse work of steve Puetz...still indicates a heightended widow for a crash.... No one ever believes this nonsense until it happens...I still have the April 6th date focuses the most likely window for a top if we get past Feb 18th..... One point Luc...there are some people who would doubt a mkt collapse if it hit them in the head.<<NG?? Peter Eliades' Stockmarket Cycles update for Tuesday, February 9, 1999. This will be a short update, not because we are so sure about what will happen from here, but because our positions are taken for subscribers and the next move is now up to the market. Could we see a crash-like decline from here? Indeed we could and we are in a Steve Puetz time window for that possibility, but we have Rydex switchers in Ursa, Fidelity Select switchers in cash and Stock Index futures traders short from a pretty good level. There is also a chance to see the market attempt to hold from these levels, or hold at these levels, but some indices appear to have broken down already. For example, the Russell 2000 that we spoke to you about last night, closed right on its 50 day and 200 day moving averages yesterday and today sell around 2%. That could be a very bad technical omen for the secondary stocks. We plan to watch the next day or two very carefully. It could be that our assessment that a very sharp decline that we talked about last week that should have begun by Monday, perhaps that assessment was one day late. Mutual fund switchers, Rydex switchers are in the Ursa fund. Fidelity Select are in cash. All mutual fund switchers should call after 3:20 p.m. each market day and each market evening. Stock Index futures traders, we want you to cover your March S&P short positions at 1210.10 unless they open below that level. If you do cover, reshort immediately on a move below 1206.00 with a stop at 1220.80. If they open at 1210.10 or lower then hold onto your positions and place your stops at 1238.40. No new projections on bonds. The XAU, as we told you yesterday, was at a critical level, and if it had gone up for the day today, could have given higher projections, but now it appears to be headed for our projections that we have given you several weeks ago. That's it for now. Have a great day. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
