Search directory business does not make the co a portal eg SEEK, YHOO have search engines and became portal. So, a search directory biz is not the same. Re value: it depends on amount of licensing revenue that will flow back to USWC. Surely there must be some, but amounts are not mentioned in the info I looked at. So, at this point, it's more speculation. What matters is if Mantra can make further sales. It was LookSmart who "packaged" Mantra's technology and to MSFT, MSFT sees LookSmart, not Mantra. So, not only is it can Mantra make further sales, but can those that Mantra sells to package it for sale.
