Ice:

I expected them to either sell, short or short against the box as soon as the deal was done, but what I have heard is that the "deal" was extremely well written and precluded this type of ungentlemanly conduct.

Personally, I expected a method to be found to provide at least partial early exit, but it doesn't look like it to me.
These guys out in Boise are no potato-heads and they had a bunch of stock to get off themselves.

Best, Earlie

Ice, Dell was as slippery as a Presidential spokesman yesterday. He said a lot without saying anything. BTW, his 17% growth prediction is slightly lower than his 20% prediction of last year. The market actually coming in at negative 5% may have forced him to tone it down a bit. <G>

Since I ruined dividend capture by being too good at it and forcing Congress to change the laws, poor old St. Paul just can't kick out the kind of income they need to lower auto insurance rates.

See Earlies comments on the INTC and TXN positions. If I am not misquoting him, he expects TXN to get out about 15 seconds after it is legal for them to do so. Intel should, but they aren't too bright. <G>
