Well, I do know that the first rumor is true, it is no longer called Rampage. Unfortunately, we don't know what it is called so I continue to refer to is a "Rampage" until a new name emerges.

The prelim Q3 benchmark number has got to be bogus unless the source of the rumor is the guys at id.

Rampage will also be more than just higher speed at higher rez. It has got to have new compelling features as well.

Chip

Gotta wonder about these rumors.

32MB base mem --> Of course
Larger textures --> Of course
SLI revisited --> Didn't 3Dfx announce SLI was dead for future products?
Upgradable --> Cool, but I wonder how many people will do this.
Q3 benchmarks --> What Chip said.
Price affordable --> It needs to be < $200 retail.
Arcade deals --> Cool, but I'll believe it when I see it. (Remember Sega!)
V3 by early march --> Corresponds with the positive comments from 3Dfx.
Sound processing --> Neat, but only if it's supported.

What missing from these rumors?
32 bit color --> This is required for Rampage.
AGP 4X support --> Since V3 4000 will have it, this is expected.
Geometry setup processor --> This will create the next revolution in 3D cards. If Rampage is not the first to have it, I expect nVidia to beat 3Dfx to the punch.
