PSINet's 'Internet' Channel and The AutoNetwork's 'RealAuto' Channel Are Announced by TV onthe WEB

Live Webcast/Press Conference at www.tvontheweb.com

Feb. 11th at 10:00 a.m. ET will address details

RESTON, Va., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- TV onthe WEB Inc., the first interactive, community-based TV network on the Web, today announced two new channels on its unique narrowcast Network. PSINet, Inc., the largest independent Internet service provider in the world, will underwrite the INTERNET Channel. The AutoNetwork will underwrite the REALAUTO Channel. Both of these new channels will be located on the TV onthe WEB Network at tvontheweb.com

The INTERNET channel will cover the latest in news and information on the Internet industry. The channel will feature a regular news program, "NETVIEW TODAY" and will webcast from the major Internet Trade Shows each year, as well as provide coverage of live-event speaking appearances by internet industry leaders. PSINet and TV onthe WEB also plan to evaluate internet services, innovative web sites and software for members of their new channel community, launching the channel with a head-to-head comparison demonstration of the Real G-2 Player and Microsoft Windows Media Player, scheduled for early March.

"This is an outgrowth of our exclusive strategic alliance with PSINet," commented Dave Gardy, Chairman and CEO of TV onthe WEB. "With their extensive state-of-the-art Internet industry expertise, PSINet is a natural to be an underwriter for this dynamic channel." Michael Mael, VP, Applications and Web Services of PSINet Inc. commented, "What TV onthe WEB is doing, in building interactive, video-driven communities in niche markets, is unique and allows us to offer our customer base certain-value added services and exposure they can't get anywhere else on the Web."

The REALAUTO channel will feature Inside Auto Industry News and Views. Regular video programming will be divided into such categories as: Manufacturer Marketing Overviews; A3: African American Auto; Drive to Survive; Industry Outreach; and RV Ventures. Weekly "Auto Network" programs are scheduled for Mondays at 2 p.m. The REALAUTO channel launch is scheduled for mid-February with initial programming featuring up-to-the-minute reports and interviews from the Chicago Auto Show. "We're committing capital to this channel because of the variety of traffic and revenue streams that TV onthe WEB generates from its unique 'community' model," stated Roosevelt Gist, President of the AutoNetwork. "Roosevelt Gist and The AutoNetwork have demonstrated a proficiency at identifying and serving hot market demographic niches with pertinent content in the auto industry sector," commented Gardy. "That type of capability allows us to engage a diversity of channel underwriters like The AutoNetwork, in addition to the more common large corporation and association underwriters."

TV onthe WEB pioneered new applications in on-demand archiving and live webcasting that have evolved into the TV onthe WEB Network of Channels at www.tvontheweb.com. The Network specializes in narrowcasting to specific business-to-business and special interest groups through revenue-generating TV channels underwritten by organizations well known in those niche communities. This unique approach has successfully generated revenue streams (shared with the underwriter) from live event, advertising, e-commerce, pay-per-view, and subscription sources, in addition to the income generated from the firm's webcasting services.

TV onthe WEB Inc. announced earlier in late January that it had formed a strategic partnership with Ampex Corporation www.ampex.com (Amex: AXC), and received an investment to finance the continued development and expansion of the Internet's first interactive, community-based TV network. "The Ampex backing is allowing us to accelerate our channel offerings with new underwriters for narrowcast channels in a full spectrum of new vertical markets," said Gardy. "The Internet Channel and The RealAuto Channel are the latest examples of many more to come."
